Welcome to DIY Upholstery Supply. We are Kris and Dotie Charlebois
Over 30 years ago, I started working in the upholstery trade. I spent countless hours doing and re-doing Upholstery projects until my Boss told me I had completed my work
correctly, professionally and up to standard. I was proud to have finally reached this level, however, in my mind there was always room for continuous improvement.
After many years of asking questions, studying and never letting my hands lay idle, I began to truly hone my talents. I was at a point, where I could always find a way to break through Plateau’s and continue to climb in this trade.I had a vision. That vision was to open my own Upholstery Shop. So, with all the confidence and support of my family, friends and myself, I moved to New York City and began my greatest venture. Thankfully, it was a success. For the next 20 years, My team and I created and recreated anything imaginable. From dining room chairs and accents, to multi tufted sofas and ottomans.Through fate, I met the love of my life Dotie, who happened to be one of the finest seamstresses in the business. Dotie became my business partner and my new bride. We decided to move south and get away from the long, cold winters of the north. We did our research and decided to settle in a small town called Southaven, in the state of Mississippi, located 3 miles south of Memphis Tennessee. We reopened our Upholstery shop and broadened our scope to include Fabric and Upholstery supply and support..For the past 10 years we have enjoyed supporting professional upholsters and crafters, in their ventures all over the globe. Along with many courageous people that have a special drive to be creative in the upholstery field. Some may find it's not as easy as it looks, but with a little patience and some expert guidance from DIY Upholstery Supply, anyone can make that special project come to life.We still build all the quality custom furniture, ottomans and accent pieces in our shop which made us a strong company from the beginning.
